CTELG Talk Series là chuỗi những cuộc đàm thoại, trình bày với các tác giả trong nước và quốc tế, bàn về các khía cạnh đa sắc màu của kinh tế, luật và quản lý do Trung tâm CTELG tổ chức. CTELG Talk Series được tổ chức định kỳ 2 quý 1 lần nhằm chia sẻ các nguồn tri thức mới, cập nhật các thông tin, xu hướng mới về kinh tế, luật và quản lý. Đây cũng là chương trình góp phần thực hiện sứ mạng của Trung tâm với tinh thần DẤN THÂN PHỤNG SỰ CỘNG ĐỒNG – LAN TOẢ TRI THỨC.
Trung tâm Đào tạo Kinh tế, Luật và Quản lý (CTELG) thuộc Trường Kinh tế, Luật và Quản lý nhà nước, Trường Đại học Kinh tế TP.HCM xin giới thiệu chuỗi sự kiện CTELG Talk Series mùa đầu tiên với chủ đề “Mô hình lựa chọn doanh nghiệp tương đồng trong Thẩm định giá doanh nghiệp ở các quốc gia ASEAN” do anh Nguyễn Kim Đức, Giám đốc CTELG trình bày.
Thẩm định giá (TĐG) máy thiết bị cũng có tài sản tương đồng, TĐG bất động sản cũng có tài sản tương đồng. Nếu việc tìm tài sản tương đồng cho bất động sản và máy thiết bị có phần thuận lợi hơn thì việc tìm một doanh nghiệp tương đồng khi TĐG doanh nghiệp luôn là câu hỏi lớn cho hoạt động TĐG toàn cầu.
Chủ đề này được thực hiện bởi nhóm cộng sự Nguyễn Kim Đức, Hay Sinh, và Trần Bích Vân. Phiên bản đầu tiên được thực hiện cho thị trường Việt Nam, được trình bày tại Hội nghị Thẩm định viên về giá ASEAN lần thứ 20 năm 2017 tại Singapore và vinh dự nhận giải thưởng “BEST PAPER AWARD” từ Giáo sư Lim Lan Yuan – Chủ tịch WAVO. Trong giai đoạn 2017-2020, nhóm tác giả đã mở rộng mô hình cho các quốc gia ASEAN và đã công bố mô hình này vào năm 2021, góp phần gỡ bỏ nút thắt trong việc lựa chọn doanh nghiệp tương đồng – một đầu việc rất quan trọng trong toàn bộ quá trình thẩm định giá.

CTELG Talk Series is held every 2 quarters to share advanced knowledge, updated information and new trends in economics, law, and governance. This program also contributes to the implementation of the CTELG’s mission with a view to Dedicate to the Community – Enhance Knowledge Acquisition.
Centre for Training in Economics, Law and Governance (CTELG) – a member of College of Economics, Law and Government (CELG), University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH) – is pleased to introduce our first-ever “CTELG Talk Series” entitled “Modeling the selection of comparable firms: A novel approach for business valuation in ASEAN nations” presented by Mr. Nguyen Kim-Duc, CTELG Director.
It is possible for Machinery and Equipment Valuation (M&E) to find a comparable property. It is also the case of Real Estate Valuation. But for Business Valuation, it is totally a different story. In practice, the selection of comparable firms for Business Valuation is always a worldwide interesting issue.
This topic was conducted by Nguyen Kim-Duc, Hay Sinh, and Tran Bich-Van. The authors received the “Best Paper Award” for the first version of this topic – The case of Vietnam – from Prof. Lim Lan Yuan, Chairman of WAVO, when they presented at the 20th ASEAN Valuers Association (AVA) Congress organized in Singapore, 2017. In 2017-2020, the authors expanded the research area to ASEAN nations, and the latest version of the topic was published in a journal in 2021. This study contributes to business valuation literature by developing a systematic approach for the selection of comparable firms. The results of this study are also practically significant for valuers because our models can be applied to peer group selection as well. Additional analysis shows that the models are more appropriate or suitable than models from previous conventional approaches that use the same industry or same firm financial characteristics.
